Tiffany & Co. has opened a new flagship store in Tokyo celebrating Art, Craft and Heritage, inspired by the iconic New York flagship, The Landmark.
Located in the upscale shopping and entertainment district of Ginza, the 66-meter-high building is the House's largest in Asia, featuring a wave-like glass facade designed by architect Jun Aoki.
The interior which spans over 2,500 square meters was designed by Peter Marino, offering an immersion into the world of Tiffany creativity and innovation on every floor. It features an exquisite artwork by Michelangelo Pistoletto, and a staircase with digital screens showcasing Immersive Moving Fresco by Oyoram Visual Composer.
A decor punctuated with works by Japanese artisans, an installation inspired by Kabuki theater by artist Mariko Kusumoto and a circular Kanazawa Rimmed Gold Leaf ceiling design, house the iconic collections of Tiffany such as Lock, HardWear, T and Knot. A floor dedicated to High Jewelry and Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany showcases rare creations in a harmonious atmosphere of sophistication and modernity.
In addition, Tiffany Ginza houses the first Blue Box Cafe in Japan with a gastronomic menu centered on Japanese cuisine developed by award-winning chef Netsuke Shoji. It features a terrace with a flower installation by Azuma Makoto, plus a private dining room.
In celebration of the opening, Tiffany has unveiled several limited-edition pieces, including a Lock pendant in rose gold with a single diamond, an aquamarine version in white gold, a Carat 128 watch inspired by the legendary Tiffany Diamond and a unique Bird on a Flying Tourbillon watch with the iconic Tiffany motif on the dial.
